Jesús Muñoz Flamenco is recognized for its dedication to preserving and innovating the improvisational philosophy and language of Flamenco dance and music. Jesus Muñoz Flamenco is unique in its collaborative respect for Cante Flamenco and Baile por derecho (otherwise known as dancing straight-up), which are its foundation.

This summer, Flamenco Works presents “Jesús Muñoz Flamenco: En Cabaret” in their newly opened space. Known for its explosive energy, deep emotion and rich artistry, this summer series brings vibrant Flamenco performances to Downtown’s core. Performances are throughout June and include an evening show Friday and Saturday and a Sunday matinee show targeting families and young children.
“Jesús Muñoz Flamenco: En Cabaret” inaugurates the opening of Flamenco Works’ theater in the heart of Downtown. Located catty-corner to the historic Kimo Theater, the building was donated to Flamenco Works, a local non-profit, during the pandemic. Throughout the past year, Flamenco Works has worked tirelessly to restore this vacant storefront into 4,200 square feet of dance studios and a small performance venue. There is no other space like it in Albuquerque - lined with brick walls and high ceilings the space breathes history, art, and community.
